Or Chadash

“Or Chadash” means “New Light” in Hebrew. The phrase is part of the Sabbath morning liturgy: “Let there be a new light over Zion, and let us all soon be worthy of his light.” (“Or chadash al Tsion ha’ir v’niskeh khulanu bimherah le’orot”). In the musical drama “Judah Judah”, it is sung at the dedication of the Temple after the Maccabees recaptured it for the Jewish people. This performance was recorded for the demo CD in 2006 by:
